Featuring Joico Master Artist, Brandon Corbitt
There’s nothing more exciting than pulling out all the stops and creating cool hair for a special occasion. Even more so when you’re Joico Master Artist, Brandon Corbitt, and that occasion is Pride! Today, this talented hair pro takes you behind the scenes with him as he gets ready for the annual celebration of authenticity and joi.

Briefly, Brandon…
He’s a Las Vegas-based hair artist with a background in theater!
Has carved out a super-successful career educating other hairdressers
Holds the Guinness World Record title of Longest Hair Education Stream
Counts hair and wig work for Lady Gaga’s Stupid Love music video among his greatest accomplishments
Is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community
“Watching artist’s minds come to life, and seeing their creations — from the costumes to makeup to feathers and more — is just pure happiness. People just want to love and be loved in return.” – Brandon Corbitt

How he’s celebrating Pride…
“Pride for me is celebrated all year long; creating a safe space for my clients who are LGBTQIA+ and educating others on our history and who we are. But our main Pride event in Las Vegas is spectacular – it’s filled with families and friends and the entire community raising awareness, donations to local and global organizations, and living our authentic lives. My friends and I go as a group to support the Drag talent; and since it’s the day before my Birthday, it will include lots of glitter, spikes, and fabulosity!”
The importance of authenticity…
“Keeping your true self hidden in the attic of your mind can be torture beyond anything. Living your truth means freedom and not being afraid — and that’s what I do every day.
I can love the man in my life and be myself no matter what. My friends love me, and I love them. At the end of the day, everyone is unique, and we should celebrate that.”
And don’t forget the style!…
“Back in my teens and early 20’s, I used to go in everything Hot Topic. Now, my style has evolved more into tank tops of my favorite queens. My goal is to feel comfortable in my clothes and have them match my creative mind. I wear a lot of sparkles and spikes and glitter jackets and shoes. It’s not to stand out, but it’s because wearing them brings me joi and happiness.”
Ready to get ready with Brandon?
“My friends and clients are major supporters of me; they know I filmed this but haven’t seen it yet as I’ve kept it under wraps!”
