Richard Mannah:
“I wanted to create a look that incorporated braids and metal skewers, but still make it a wearable, teachable hairstyle for the BTC show. I’m very into infinity braids at the moment, and the many different ways you can work them into the hair.”
Who is your ideal client for this style?
“A client who has long hair with long layers. When the hair has shorter layers, it makes it more difficult to create the infinity braid.”
Paint us a picture: Where is she wearing this look?
“You’re going somewhere special…a fashion event, a gala, a red—carpet moment of any kind.”
And what if there are no red-carpet moments on the calendar?
“Softening up the braids and not using the metal skewers makes it more casual and accessible for every day. I specifically designed it to have that versatility.”

“One hour – with the skewers.”
Give us a play-by-play of the steps
“I started by shampooing the hair with Joico’s Defy Damage Protective Shampoo, to make sure it was healthy before we started. I then prepped all the hair that was going to be braided with Joico Humidity Blocker Finishing Spray and then with Joico Beach Shake – it created a natural satin finish to make the braids super clean-looking.”
Any tips on how to make this ‘do last through the night?
“No worries there…this look will 100% last all night. It’s a very secure
hairstyle.”
