THE HOW-TO:
Rick used Blonde Life Lightening Powder with 20 volume LumiShine Developer on the roots, and let it process for 25 minutes. Next up was Blonde Life Lightening Powder with 10 volume LumiShine Developer on the ends, processed for 15 additional minutes. Then, on to toning: ½ 10SB and Clear from LumiShine. And finally, K-PAK Color Therapy Luster Lock Instant Shine & Repair Treatment to protect every vulnerable strand and bump up the gleam beyond the pale.

THE HOW-TO:
Rick used 1/4 oz of Joico Color Butter Pink mixed with 2 oz of Joico Blonde Life Conditioner.
(Tip: Diluting the product with a healthy conditioner provides a softer pastel result.)
Apply to clean wet hair – let it sit for 10 minutes, and rinse. For longer-lasting color, use Color IntensitySemi-Permanent Color Conversion Formulation: 1 oz Clear + 1/4 oz Soft Pink

THE HOW-TO:
Rick used 1/2 oz of Joico Color Butter Purple mixed with 2 oz of Joico K-PAK Intense Hydrator to dilute Color Butter to the perfect purple tone.
(Coincidence that it’s also Pantone’s Color of the Year? We think not.)
Apply to Clean wet hair – let it process for 10 minutes, then rinse, cleanse with a light shampoo, and style as desired. To nail Katy’s perfectly “imperfect” pixie ‘do, Rick recommends applying Joico Body Shake or Hair Shake, then lightly tousling with fingers for natural-looking texture.
(For longer-lasting color, use Color Intensity Semi-Permanent Color Conversion Formulation: 2 oz Clear + 1/4 oz Indigo. Apply to level 10 blonde hair and process for 20 minutes.)
