The 4-Point Blonde

PAINT

Gina explains: “I created panels of balayage and panels of depth, incorporating three different colors. I also take wide panels of blonde to add more coverage; and – this is key – I’m being creative in the way I lay my colors. You can always drop the hair to see what it will look like before you paint! You can customize this technique by changing your section angle. You can learn more about this technique in my class Strategic Color Placement.

RINSE

Gina explains: “You can do a gentle initial rinse on the lightened pieces, add some water, and (for lack of a better word!) mush together all of the colors, and tone for 10 minutes (or until the desired result is achieved). I do this a lot as a pre-tone or to create custom tones.”

GLOSS

Gina explains: “I was inspired by some of the latest celebrity trends. I wanted a soft, buttery tone, so I decided to use LumiShine Demi-permanent Liquid in 9NV to softly balance her unwanted warmth.”

FINISH

Gina explains: “Stylist Elise Bean (@balayageprincess) prepped the hair with Joico Dream Blowout Thermal Protection Crème, then used her BlowTri technique, focusing on triangular sections that followed our color pattern.”
