Technique
STEP 1: First, divide the hair into three sections: two in the front parted down the center and one large section in the back. Section the entire crown off and clip away. Directly below, take a horizontal weave from the back and apply Formula 1.
STEP 2: Shift to the right, take a second horizontal weave and apply Formula 1. Repeat on the other side.
STEP 3: Continue to work up the head in a bricklaying pattern with Formula 1 – you want to aim for about 10 foils.
STEP 4: Next, move to the front, take a diagonal micro-weave, and apply Formula 1 directly against the skin above the ear at the hairline.
Tip: No need to leave a veil of hair out at the hairline here as you want to add brightness to this area.
STEP 5: Take two more diagonal back weaves above the first weave and apply Formula 1 toward the ear.
STEP 6: Clip out a 2-inch section of fringe from above the eyebrow arch to the center part, then take a diagonal back weave from behind the fringe section and apply Formula 1. Gradually pivot the angle of the weaves toward the center part as you work your way up; aim for about 10 foils on each side.
STEP 7: Repeat the process on the other side.
STEP 8: For the fringe section, leave a veil of natural hair at the hairline, then take a horizontal weave, and apply Formula 1.
STEP 9: Continue weaving horizontally in the fringe section up toward part line with Formula 1; aim for about four foils.
STEP 10: Next, work your way around the head and identify areas that you would like to “foilyage”. This will add more light to your overall look! Gently backcomb each section at the base and apply Formula 2 from the mid-shaft to the ends.
STEP 11: Continue to work around the head identifying areas you would like lighter and brighter. Gently back comb the sections and apply Formula 2 in a Foilyage technique.
STEP 12: Let this process until your desired level of lightness is achieved or for up to 60 minutes. Rinse hair thoroughly, then shampoo and condition with Blonde Life Brightening Shampoo and Conditioner.
Now it’s time to gloss! Working from the bottom to the top, using Formula 3, apply gloss throughout the entire head. Use a wide-tooth comb to evenly distribute gloss throughout the hair. Let the gloss process for 10 minutes, then rinse hair thoroughly. Shampoo with Blonde Life Brightening Shampoo.
Then, for extra brilliant blonde, follow with Blonde Life Brightening Masque for up to 10 minutes.
