Nicole Richie recently teased her Instagram fans with a picture of her hair Photoshopped purple. She recently Instagrammed a new picture with purple hair, this time it was actually dyed! We got the formula how-to by Hollywood Colorist and Guest Artist, Cherry Petenbrink.
FORMULALightener Formula:
1 oz. Vero K-PAK Creme Lightener + 1 oz. 20 Volume Veroxide
Timing: Varies; until you reach level 10
1 oz. Vero K-PAK Creme Lightener + 1 oz. 20 Volume Veroxide
Timing: Varies; until you reach level 10
Toner Formula:
1 oz. Vero K-PAK Color TSB + 1 oz. Vero K-PAK Color TPB + 2 oz. 10 Volume Veroxide
Timing: Process at room temperature for 20 minutes. Rinse toner formula out of hair. Dry hair thoroughly.
Vero K-PAK Color Intensity Formula:
1 oz. Color Intensity Clear mixer + 1″ ribbon of Color Intensity Cobalt Blue + 1″ ribbon of Color Intensity Pink
Cherry’s Tips:
- Keep in mind that the canvas must be clear and even. Toning after bleaching is essential to neutralize any yellow or gold in order for the pastels to show true!
- Use a white or clear bowl: The color you see is the color you get. Wipe some of the color on a white paper towel to give a visual of the end result.
