“Given that my client is from France, I instantly thought of the culture and it’s innate elegance,” says Lindsey, who explains that Camille was wanting a shade of pink in her brunette hair. “I softened it to go with her skin tone.”

“The biggest challenge comes during the highlighting. It’s so important to lift the hair to a shade that’s tone-able. And it took some time and testing to mix and arrive at the perfect shade.”

“You definitely need to be patient with the process…that’s the very best tip I can offer. Make sure your client knows it will be a long appointment, and have fun! I had my best friend, colorist Jill Buck, tag-teaming with me to make it extra an extra-enjoyable day (and for moral support, too!).”
THE MAINTENANCE SOLUTION:
“The grow-out process is a dream. Camille can go months before needing a touch-up because of the babylights and shadowing of the root. To keep up her rose tone, I sent her home with a premixed rose-colored conditioner.
