A warm welcome from Joico General Manager, Melisa Gil, who kicked things off with a nod to Joico’s near-five-decade focus on making Healthy Hair a reality; and a lively game of “Hairstylist Family Feud!”
Joico Global Brand Ambassador and Artistic Director, Larisa Love, had the audience jazzed and inspired with her Color Correction Simplified technique. Her game-changing strategy focuses on using unwanted shades in the hair to best advantage, rather than stripping them away and causing further damage.
“A color correction doesn’t have to be difficult. It’s about understanding the ART of the developers,” she explains.
Lunch & Learn with the New Product Development team revealed the brand-new launch of Inner Joi, Joico’s breakthrough line of haircare that’s naturally derived, clean, sustainable.
An exercise in creativity! Joico Brand Storyteller (and resident blonding superstar) demonstrated her clever Stairmaster technique with Joico Master Artist, Brandon Corbitt – it’s an over-directed foiling method that covers a lot of ground with far less work.
“Sharing my expertise with a passionate group of global hairstylists eager to master the art of blonding was both rewarding and fulfilling. This experience left an indelible mark on my journey as a stylist and Blonde Specialist for Joico, reminding me of the magic that happens when knowledge and passion come together. Absolutely JoiConic!”
When two heads are better than one! Joico Global Artistic Director of Haircolor, Laura Gibson, and Joico Celebrity Stylist, Jill Buck of Salon Nine Zero One, teamed up to teach Painting, Placement, and Warmth, a stunning ombré technique that leads to the most perfect, modern, warm looks.
“Working with my hair bestie, Laura Gibson, we created a collaboration class featuring a combination of hair painting, balayage and ombré toning techniques. Stay tuned, because you’re going to see it everywhere!” says Jill.
Curls unfurled! Creative Movement & Dimension was the buzz on everyone’s lips, as Joico Global Education Expert, Ricardo Santiago, and Joico Global Technical Director, Jeannetta Walker-Rodgers, joined forces on an exciting curly color technique.
“It was truly groundbreaking,” raves Ricardo. “This is the first time we as a company have offered dedicated curly education and I’m honored to have been able to be a part and lead it.”
Meet the Nouveau Bob…a nostalgic, mid-length cut with a brand-new modern twist. Joico Global Artistic Director, Richard Mannah, was thrilled to introduce the brilliant look to Joico Educators:
“This haircut offers the flexibility to be tailored into a mid-length or longer style, and can be beautifully styled curly, wavy, or smooth with a sleek finish. The elegance of this technique lies in its simplicity, as it skillfully incorporates layers and shorter face-framing graduations to accentuate the facial features,” he explains.
