Larisa Love’s Fairytale Wedding Album

The invitation was hard to resist. An intimate, four-day, love-filled wedding celebration at Dunskey Estate, a sprawling Edwardian castle nestled deep in the enchanting, forested grounds of a Scottish coastal village near Edinburgh. “We loved the castle. It was big enough for all our guests to stay in; and I always dreamed of getting married in a forest surrounded by greenery,” says Larisa of the magical surrounds. “The picture-perfect intimate wedding truly does exist,” adds Sebastian. After a day of arrivals, rehearsal, a welcome dinner, and custom-made swag for each guest, it was time for the big day…

“I have never met such an incredible, selfless soul,” muses Larisa of her now-husband. “He’s a ray of sunshine and makes everyone feel so safe around him. He really truly gives you all that he has of him — which is a lot. Sebastian is literally my best friend. I’m excited to start this life and journey with him. He’s so adventurous just like me. We have similar lifestyles, but yet we’re so opposite. Perfect for each other.”

The groom’s vows:

“Larisa my beloved human – WE ARE HERE. Instead of two halves coming together, we stand here as two strong individuals forming an extraordinary union. Our souls, encased in our bodies, were destined for this connection, for this sense of home.”

Strategic photo ops:

“We decided not to take precious time away from our wedding day to do an enormous number of photos – instead, we dedicated another day solely for them. It was the perfect decision! We had the chance to be more present…enjoy each moment…and have incredible photos in the castle ruins off the cliffs.”

No white in sight:

“I had two dresses,” explains Larisa of her sheer floral overlay gown and silky slip dress for the ceremony. “Both were a silver-mauve tone.”

"THE BIG WEDDING SURPRISE"

The big surprise:For most couples, the first look is everything. But for individualists, Larisa and Sebastian, it was all about a double take. “Our second look took place after the ceremony and before the reception– there was roughly an hour between,” recalls Sebastian, who was wowed by Larisa’s special surprise to him: Our mischievous Brand Ambassador colored her hair darker before the party. “I don’t think any bride has ever done that before. It was a magical moment that will forever be a core memory,” says Sebastian.
The hair details:

“I did my own hair on my wedding day – it would just feel wrong for someone else to do it,” admits Larisa, who had a pre-nuptial Balayage with Joico Celebrity Stylist, Jill Buck, of Salon Nine Zero One. She then kept her hair in the healthiest possible shape in the weeks leading up to the big day. “I regularly treated my hair with Defy Damage Protective Masque, and applied Defy Damage Sleepover every night to add nourishment.”

First hair look:

“Tousled waves with a “wet” glossy finish using Blonde Life Brilliant Glow Brightening Oil, along with Zero Heat Air Dry Crème.”
