Time to set your 2022 education goals!

GOALS = SCORE!

Hear that page turning? That’s the calendar telling you it’s time to map out some new education goals for 2022; the kind that help you rise through the ranks, build your business, and hone those artistic skills. Believe it or not, our pros do exactly that — and today they’re sharing their own objectives for the New Year. According to editors at Psychology Today, goal setting helps motivate people to achieve at higher levels of difficulty. In fact, “a 2015 study by psychologist Gail Matthews showed when people wrote down their goals, they were 33 percent more successful in achieving them than those who formulated outcomes in their head.”

In the spirit of motivation, check out the goals that three of our pros have set for themselves this coming year; and use them as inspo to reach for the stars yourself!

Here’s what Joico Artistic Educator, Leticia McKay, wants to accomplish this year…

Heading to the classroom

“As an educator, my ultimate goal is to constantly expand my knowledge base so that I can share with those who are under my influence. So, I have plans to invest in a Color Chemistry course that will give more insight into the science behind hair color.”

Hiring more staff

“I’m a business owner, and there are many hats to wear and things to juggle. I have already started building my support team (including an Assistant and a Social Media Manager) to help keep things running smoothly!”

Taking time off

“My personal life is just as important as the business…if not more. Especially given that I’m a new Mommy! I plan to add more days off and vacation time so that I can be home with my family.”

Hitting social media hard

Expand mentorship opportunities
“I hope to continue to help my team grow, and even get some mentoring for myself as well.”

Gain video confidence
“I’d like to be so comfy in front of the camera, that when life goes back to normal and we get hair shows again, I’ll feel 1000% more confident on stage.”

Reconnect with people
“Fingers crossed I can hug some of my friends in person this year. And if not, the embrace will be so much better when we do finally see each other again!”
