Back To The Oscars They Go!

Featuring Joico Celebrity Artist, Frederic Aspiras

It was only a year ago that Gaga’s mane man, Joico Celebrity Artist, Frederic Aspiras, became the second Asian hairdresser ever to be nominated for an Oscar in the category of makeup and hairstyling for his legendary work on House of Gucci. Creating 52 looks from ten (self-designed) hero wigs for the character of Patrizia, Freddie spent over five months researching and studying the iconic character.

Now, the pair are preparing for a stunning Hollywood return, as Gaga’s nominated Maverick song takes center stage at the Academy Awards. And we’re celebrating their collective genius with a “hairstyle hall of fame” – a look back at the amazing hair creations he’s masterminded for his star-studded client over the years. Most recently, it’s an iconic blonde ‘do that Freddie crafted for “Hold My Hand”, Gaga’s soundtrack video to TOP GUN Maverick … sexy champagne waves (loosely inspired by Kelly McGillis’s “Charlie” character in the original film) that’s inspired a lot of lovin’ feelings.

Let’s revisit some of the genius styles that Freddie and Gaga have brought to life…
