ABOUT ME
BRANDON CORBITT
JOICO TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Brandon was born for the beauty world, and has been in the hair industry since the age of eight. Comfortably engaging an audience makes sense for this multifaceted artist, whose background in theater and self-described “intense passion” for hair has propelled him to touch every corner of the business over two decades – from international platform artist and master educator, to trainer, corporate digital education manager, and product tester. A pro in everything from color correction to cutting and styling for all genders, Brandon proudly holds the Guinness World Record title of Longest Hair Education Stream, and counts hair and wig work for Lady Gaga’s Stupid Love music video among his greatest accomplishments. He’s immersed himself into almost every facet of the business – from “paying his dues” as an assistant, to owning a salon in Pennsylvania, working in salons in Florida and California, and now working in his current home city of Las Vegas.
He continues to inspire, educate, and train hairdressers globally for Joico, while working behind the chair. Brandon doesn’t specialize in a single area of hairdressing, but in a wide expertise – including color corrections, Color Intensity fantasy, multidimensional reds/violets/ brunettes, extensions, wigs, blonding, cutting, and styling for all genders. Brandon continues to grow and learn from the incredible artists the hair industry, while sharing his heart, soul, and deep knowledge of Joico and beauty.

HOW WOULD YOU BEST DESCRIBE THE TECHNIQUES OR SERVICES THAT YOU SPECIALIZE IN AND ARE BEST KNOWN FOR?
I’m best known for reds, texture, and color corrections. Reds are fierce and have their own attitude—red is a statement!
MAJOR MILESTONES: YOUR AWARDS, ACCOLADES, AND SPECIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS IN THE INDUSTRY…
A place in the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest continuous nonstop live education event – in 2020.
ONE PRO TIP EVERY STYLIST SHOULD KNOW…
Color fearlessly; not out of fear! Trust the formula and trust the process.
CAREER HIGHLIGHT OR PROUDEST MOMENT…
One of my top career highlights was doing hair on set for Lady Gaga’s Stupid Love music video: meeting her, working with celebrity stylist, Frederic (“Freddie”) Aspiras, and taking care of the dancers (I continue to take care of their hair and count them as friends). The proudest moments are seeing the educators I have trained reach their goals and dreams, and knowing that I’ve been a part of their journey. It’s a complete honor and privilege to be a leader and teacher – something I don’t take for granted.
IF YOU WEREN’T A HAIRSTYLIST, WHAT WOULD YOU BE?
A forensics pathologist or marine biologist. I love science and animals. Figuring out the puzzle of a crime scene or being in the ocean helping the planet are two things I’m obsessed with.
ONE PLACE IN THE WORLD YOU’D LOVE TO DO HAIR FOR A DAY
I would love to do hair for a movie on location. Creating wigs for a fantasy feature film would be a dream.
