“One of my earliest family beauty memories was of watching my mom and my Oma do their skincare routine. They’d always tell me how important it was to keep your skin moisturized and hydrated, to keep you looking good and wrinkle free!”

“Growing up Hispanic, my favorite thing was learning how to dance with my family. But my mom and my grandmother also taught me that hair and makeup are ALWAYS a thing — my grandma won’t even take a picture without putting on her lipstick first! Maybe that’s why I’m in the beauty industry; it’s one of the things I carry with me. Because I’m mixed, I sometimes want to wear my hair curly and sometimes want to wear it straight, like JLo. Joico enables me to rock both looks!”

“My favorite family tradition is getting together with my siblings and parents on Saturday mornings and eating menudo. Menudo is a tradition in every Hispanic family. The other memory I have is making tamales during the holidays…Christmas and Thanksgiving. We love our food! Our rice, our beans, menudo, posole….and hope you do, too!”

PMO, Administrative Assistant

“One of my favorite traditions is cooking for friends and family. Food has always been at the center of our gatherings; and for me, it represents love, culture, and connections. Cooking allows me to honor my heritage and create moments that bring everyone together”

“Growing up, I would spend my summer vacations with my abuela, and every morning after my shower, she would add the final touch to my face and to my slick-back ponytail – Tres Caritas Crema. The scent and the ritual will always take me back to those cherished moments with her, memories I carry with me always.
I’ve found that my favorite way to stay connect to my heritage is by visiting Mexico! Every year I plan a trip to deepen my connection. From the bustling cities to quiet pueblos, and from ancient history to lively traditions, the richness and beauty of the country make every trip a celebration of my roots and a reminder that every fiber of me carries the magic of Mexico!”
