The importance of being a Black hair artist…
“I feel a special responsibility to promote diversity in all aspects of my work. This includes making sure that I’m well-trained to handle all hair types, which helps me effectively cater to a diverse clientele. I believe it’s essential to be well-versed in all hair types; however, I am abundantly aware that it is pretty hard to find Black stylists who specialize not just in hair color, but also in blonding. So, I make sure I stay educated and up-to-date on the best blonding techniques for all textures.”
