Outer beauty
While inner beauty may be what’s most important, we wanted to ensure that what’s on the outside (our packaging) didn’t fall short when it comes to being sustainably conscious. All Inner Joi shampoos and conditioners are packaged in recovered and recycled Social Plastic®***, which supports communities in need and helps fight ocean plastic pollution. All other Inner Joi bottles are made with a minimum of 50% post-consumer recycled plastic.

Moreover, our entire InnerJoi product line is free of animal-derived ingredients so we’re certified “Global Animal Test-Tree and Vegan” by PETA, which means a brand is truly cruelty-free.

Q. What does naturally-derived mean?
A. According to ISO (International Standards Organization), an ingredient is defined as ‘naturally derived’ if it is a plant or mineral-derived material or water and has undergone limited processing for use. For example, if a formula is 95% naturally derived, it means that plant and mineral-derived materials and water, all of which undergo limited processing, make up at least 95% of the formula.
Q. Inner Joi products contain a high level of naturally-derived ingredients, but what about the other ingredients? What are they about?
A. Our Inner Joi products contain 86%-98% naturally-derived ingredients; the other 2%-14% is made up of safe, man-made ingredients needed to ensure the effectiveness and stability of the product.
Q. Are Inner Joi products vegan?
A. Yes, all Inner Joi products are certified vegan by PETA (People for The Ethical Treatment of Animals).
Q. How is using upcycled ingredients sustainable?
A. Using upcycled ingredients, helps prevent waste by putting ingredients that would otherwise be discarded to good use.
