I purchased this shampoo and conditioner last weekend and am extremely disappointed with it. It doesn't lather at all and leaves my hair feeling greasy and stringy.
My hair was past my butt, i recently got 6inches cut off, i needed a change. The past couple months i have been getting red highlights in my hair, which is dyed jet black, I was worried about my hair getting damaged. It had gotten really dry and was really hard to brush out. There were some problems with the placement of my highlights so i went to a different hairdresser. She recommended a sulfate free shampoo and told me a local store to go to. At the store, I was recommended this product. When i used it, barely any red had come out, i was surprised. I hadnt read any reviews before trying it, I didn't find my hair to be greasy after at all, maybe other people are because their hair is so used to sulfates in the shampoo and conditioner.
I am useing temp color till my natural hair grows out and this shampoo is very gentle on color and smell is light and perfect to those sensitive to scents. Its a super low lather so it rinses out easy. To those complaining on greasy hair try massaging the shampoo in the scalp for that is where most of the grease is. I had no problems with greasy hair or residue.
I have really thick hair. So thick, that when if was long, it took an hour of drying and brushing so it didn't become a frizzy mess. It is also wavy and does not like to be tamed. Now, if you have thin hair, this is probably not for you, as it will probably make your hair feel oily and weird (what mom thought when she used it). However, after using this, I don't even need conditioner. My hair was shiny and bouncy. I was able to blow it out without a problem. I'm also a natural blonde, and had my hair professionally dyed a rich red that fades to blonde in an ombré. I have always had a fading problem (and an orange problem after 5 weeks or so), and I've tried them all. The red hasn't been washing out everywhere, which is odd and amazing. If there are any dyed red heads, you know how it usually stains everything. Thank you!
I purchased this product from Ulta about a week ago. This product doesn't lather and I feel like it never rinses out of my hair no matter how long I spend trying to rinse. My hair is not very thick. I was just sitting here and work and felt my hair, it feels greasy and I just showered a few hours ago and have no other product on my hair. This is very literally the worst shampoo I've ever used. My hands feel greasy on the keyboard as I type this.
