May the force be with you: We think our vibrant new shampoo deserves honorable mention for its ability to give the phrase “serve and protect” a whole new meaning. The unique color-correcting formula preserves cool platinum blondes and silver foxes by keeping nasty brassy tones at bay while safeguarding hair’s vibrancy. And there’s more: Powerful ingredients provide a shield against damage, and strengthen hair’s natural defenses. No shrinking violets here.
Perfect choice for: Blondes (especially platinum) and gray/silver hair.
Here’s how: Massage into wet hair and allow the shampoo to absorb for three-to-five minutes, then rinse. Repeat the process two or three times per week, alternating with your regular shampoo.
The inside secret: It’s a two-pronged approach: Our Multi-Spectrum Defense Complex protects color from fading and losing vibrancy; exclusive Bio-Advanced Peptide Complex repairs, protects, fights frizz, and adds shine with every single application.

I am transitioning cold turkey to my natural color - some shade of silver. With about 2" of growth in so far it was contrasting terribly with my former dyed colors - a light brown with a lot of blonde highlights and a reddish glaze on the ends. My color had started to look really brassy/orangey but I wanted no more dye. I read about this product on a web page devoted to going to grey.
I tried it this morning and WOW! Instead of brass I have actual blonde hair with some light ash brown. It seems to make the grey/silver/white stands growing in more blended in and less in your face.
I left each of the shampoo and conditioner on for 3 minutes. My hair is very very fine though so have a lot of it. It feels soft and healthy. I love this product after one use!!
I found this product due to an article I read online. It's a wonderful product and really helps with brassy tones.
I just bought my Balance purple shampoo a few days before i did my first Brazilian blowout treatment. The stylist said i must stay away from sulfates in my haircare because it will decrease the life of the keratin from my treatment. Thats just great that i wasted my money after just ine use because i see the 2nd ingredient is SODIUM LAUREL SULFATE!!! But i read today that theres another purple shampoo by this Joico brand that is actually Sulfate-free.... Endure Violet. Anyone know if this takes out brassiness just as good as this one???
Is this any different from the color endure violet?
